Traveling Artists’ Journey Across The USA
Discovering the Continent Through Ink, Adventure, and Stories
The Search, The Destination, and The Memories That Stay
Some people travel to escape. Others travel to discover. For me, this journey wasn’t just about moving through landscapes—it was about living through them, absorbing their essence, and transforming that inspiration into tattoo art.
Armed with my tattoo machine, my partner @needles.bb, my Shiba Inu @co_thedog, and a hunger for adventure, I set out on a loop across the Western USA, tattooing in cities, hiking through national parks, and meeting people who carried their own stories—stories I would ink into permanence.
This wasn’t just a road trip—it was a journey through art, culture, and the unseen geometries of the world.
Tattooing the Map – A Journey of Ink & Exploration
A Grand Beginning: Among Giants in Sequoia
Leaving Santa Barbara, the road unfolded before us—curving through hills, leading toward something ancient. As we entered Sequoia National Park, the first giants emerged, their massive trunks stretching beyond sight. These trees weren’t just old; they were timeless, standing as silent witnesses to history.
Driving through the forest felt like moving through a cathedral of nature. Whether on a motorcycle hugging the curves or in a car letting the towering canopies frame the sky, the journey itself was unforgettable. Light filtered through branches, casting golden streaks on the pavement, and every turn revealed a new, breathtaking view.
Stepping out, the silence was profound—not empty, but full of stories. Placing my hand on the rough bark of a Sequoia, I felt the weight of time. Like ink on skin, these trees carried their own stories—etched deep, permanent, evolving.
This was just the beginning. The road ahead promised more stories to be told—not in words, but in tattoos.
The First Milestone: Sequoia National Park
The journey had just begun, but this moment felt like a checkpoint—a reminder of why we were on the road in the first place. With @needles.bb by my side and @co_thedog standing proudly between us, we took in the crisp mountain air beneath the towering Sequoias.
The entrance sign stood tall, weathered by time yet welcoming countless travelers. Posing for this photo felt symbolic—a snapshot of adventure, of stepping into the unknown, of marking the start of something bigger than just a road trip.
This was more than just a stop. It was the first imprint of a journey that would stretch across states, landscapes, and stories—one that, like ink on skin, would stay with us forever.
Yosemite & Kings Canyon – Winter’s Quiet Magic
Driving into Yosemite and Kings Canyon in winter felt like stepping into another world—snow-covered peaks, icy rivers, and a silence that made every moment feel sacred. With many roads closed, we had to explore on foot, making every view more rewarding.
Bridalveil Fall was breathtaking, mist rising like a soft veil against the cold air. The rivers ran wild with fresh snowmelt, weaving through towering pines, while deer moved quietly through the frost-covered forest.
Though winter limited access, it offered something better—a slower pace, untouched beauty, and the chance to feel truly present in nature. Sometimes, the best views aren’t from the road, but from the moments you stop and take it all in.
Turkish Coffee & Frozen Beauty in Yosemite
The air was crisp, the kind of biting cold that clings to your skin, but the view made it all worth it. El Capitan stood like a silent giant, Bridalveil Fall misted in the distance, and the icy river flowed beside us, untouched and wild.
We set up our tiny coffee ritual, a moment that had become a staple of our journey. @needles.bb and I, both tattoo artists, traveling together—not just through places, but through inspiration. With every stop, we gathered fragments of landscapes, stories, and energy, all feeding into the ink we would create.
As the Turkish coffee brewed, its rich aroma cut through the cold. The first sip was warmth itself, but the best part was the conversation—the kind you only have when you’re on the road, far from routine, watching the world unfold before you.
This was more than just a break. It was a pause to soak it all in—before hitting the road again, chasing the next moment, the next view, the next story waiting to be told in ink.
San Francisco – Ink & Inspiration by the Bay
The road led us to the San Francisco Bay Area, but it was Berkeley where everything came together. The city felt like an open book, its pages filled with art, activism, and a restless energy that refuses to stand still. The streets carried a rhythm of their own, with murals stretching across alleyways, cafés filled with quiet thinkers and loud dreamers, and bookstores where time seemed to slow.
At Ritual Tattoo, the stories took shape in ink. A fine-line dragon, flowing with the movement of transformation and inner strength. A geometric composition, capturing the fragile balance between heart and mind. A turbojet engine, meticulously detailed, an ode to precision, speed, and human ambition. Every piece carried something deeper, inspired by the people who walked in and the energy of the city itself.
Berkeley had a way of leaving its mark—not just through the tattoos but through the moments in between. The quick coffee runs, the walks through streets that seemed to breathe history, the quiet realization that some places don’t just inspire art, they become part of it. As we packed up and set our sights on the next stretch of road, the Bay Area stayed with us. Its stories, its movement, its ink—etched into memory, just like the tattoos left behind.
RECENT WORKS IN San Francisco:
Sacramento – A Timeless Weekend
Sacramento felt like a step into the past, yet warm and full of life. Unlike the rush of bigger cities, this one invited you to slow down. Old Town was pure charm—weathered wooden buildings, vintage shopfronts, and the quiet nostalgia of the Gold Rush era.
We wandered through local shops, took in the sights, and spent hours in the California State Railroad Museum, surrounded by towering locomotives and the hum of history. The craftsmanship, the stories of old railway journeys—it was easy to get lost in it all.
The city moved at a golden-hour pace, the river flowing quietly alongside us, the streets bathed in warm light. It wasn’t just a stop—it was a feeling, the kind you carry long after the road pulls you away.
Tower Bridge Takeover – Sacramento’s Boldest Bandits
If there was ever a moment we felt like we owned the road, this was it. The golden Tower Bridge, standing tall since 1935, became our personal stage—a place to strike a pose, claim the scene, and act like we ran Sacramento.
The crisp winter air, the bold yellow steel framing the sky, and the perfect lighting made it too good not to have a little fun. We crouched low, throwing looks like we had just shut down traffic, like we had a heist planned on the other side of the bridge. In reality? Just two tattoo artists, soaking in the city, making memories, and enjoying the moment.
Sacramento had its quieter, historic charm, but this was one of those stops where we let loose. No rules, just a fun snapshot in time—owning the bridge, if only for a moment.
Chasing Waterfalls – The Road to Multnomah Falls
Leaving Sacramento, we pushed north, stopping in Ashland—a town that felt like a secret well-kept. Even in winter, the streets were alive, shops open, locals welcoming, and an energy that hinted at something bigger. The Shakespeare Festival wasn’t in season, but we could feel its magic lingering in the air. One day, we’d be back for it.
Then came Multnomah Falls—a place that had been on my bucket list for years. The towering cascade, mist rising like a dream, the cold air sharp but invigorating—it was pure magic. We stood beneath it, taking it all in, knowing this was a moment that would stay with us forever.
Recently, that inspiration found its way into ink—“Mama Galactic,” a tattoo I created in LA, was shaped by the flow and power of this waterfall. Some places don’t just inspire; they leave a permanent mark.
Multnomah Falls – Oregon’s Cascading Icon
Just 30 miles east of Portland, Multnomah Falls is Oregon’s tallest waterfall, plunging 620 feet in two breathtaking tiers. Nestled in the Columbia River Gorge, it’s a year-round wonder, whether roaring in spring, glowing in autumn, or freezing into an icy masterpiece in winter.
The Benson Bridge, built in 1914, sits perfectly between the upper and lower falls, offering an unreal, misty view of the rushing water. Legend tells of a Native American princess who leapt from the cliffs, and the falls formed where she landed—a place of beauty, power, and myth.
Carved by ancient lava flows and glacial floods, Multnomah Falls has stood for centuries, drawing travelers, artists, and filmmakers alike. Standing before it, surrounded by towering evergreens, you don’t just see nature—you feel it.
Seattle – The Sound of a Dream Realized
Crossing into Washington, the journey felt like it was reaching something we had always been drawn to. Seattle wasn’t just another city—it was a place we had longed to experience. From the first time we heard Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden, this city had lived in our minds as something more than a destination—it was a sound, a mood, a creative force.
Arriving felt surreal. The rain-slicked streets, the hum of the waterfront, the quiet murmur of coffee shops filled with writers and dreamers—Seattle had a presence. The skyline, crowned by the Space Needle, felt like it belonged to a different era, while the deep-green forests just beyond the city whispered of something older, wilder. The mix of grunge history, artistic rebellion, and natural beauty was unlike anywhere else.
The Olympic Peninsula – A Twilight Dreamscape
Beyond the city, the road led us west to the Olympic Peninsula, where the world turned softer, mistier, almost unreal. Towering evergreens, fog rolling over the cliffs, and the endless gray-blue of the Pacific crashing against the rugged coast. La Push, Forks, the rainforests—places immortalized in books and films, now right in front of us.
With all the Twilight references surrounding us, I realized something surprising—I had never designed a tattoo inspired by the series. Maybe it was time. The fog-draped forests, the full moon over stormy waves, the idea of something eternal, hidden in the mist—it was the kind of imagery that belonged in ink.
Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula weren’t just places we visited. They felt like chapters in a story we were meant to be part of. Maybe in music, maybe in ink, but definitely in something that lasts.
Seattle Ink – Stories in the Rain
Seattle’s atmosphere—moody skies, deep history, and raw creativity—set the perfect stage for some of the most meaningful tattoos of this journey. Each piece carried a story, etched in fine-line and geometric precision.
“Watchful Protector” embodied strength and resilience, a tribute to legacy and duty. “Sacred Harmony” captured the delicate balance of time and self-growth, while “Living Decay” explored the cycle of life and transformation. “Family Crest” wove cultural heritage into a single emblem, and “Sacred Vine” paid tribute to love, loss, and fleeting time.
Seattle didn’t just inspire—it became part of the ink, forever tied to these stories, now carried wherever the road leads.
RECENt WORKS IN SEATTLE
Westward & Southbound – Waterfalls, Legends, and Hidden Gems
Leaving Seattle, we chased the coastline west to La Push, where the Pacific roared beneath a fiery sunset. Wrapped in the salty air, with @needles.bb by my side, it was one of those rare moments where time seemed to pause—just us, the ocean, and the fading light.
Deep in the Washington wilderness, we crossed paths with a legend—Bigfoot. Or at least, his larger-than-life tribute. A fun roadside stop, a photo to prove it, and a reminder that some myths make the journey even better.
Then came Lake Wenatchee, and wow—this was the most stunning lake we’d ever seen. The still water mirrored the sky, framed by towering mountains and endless trees. It felt untouched, perfect. A place where you don’t just pass through—you sit, breathe, and let it sink in.
Snoqualmie Falls was next, a thundering cascade surrounded by lush evergreens. I found the perfect tree to hug, because honestly, some places demand a little gratitude.
Further east, Palouse Falls was a wild surprise—a massive drop into a canyon, powerful and rugged. But the fences kept us at a frustrating distance, making it a waterfall to admire, but never quite touch. Still, the sight alone was enough to make the detour worth it.
This stretch of the journey was filled with beauty, mystery, and places that stayed with us long after the road carried us forward. Some moments you capture in photos, others in ink—but these? These we carried in our bones.
La Push – Sunset, Serenity, and a Promise to Return
Some places stay with you, and La Push is one of them. Sitting on a driftwood log, watching the golden sun sink into the Pacific, the whole world felt quiet. The sea stacks in the distance, the gentle crash of waves, the crisp salt air—everything was perfect.
With @needles.bb by my side, this wasn’t just another stop on the road. It was a moment. One of those rare pauses where you realize the journey isn’t just about the places—it’s about who you share them with.
The Olympic Peninsula is full of wonders, and this was just one. We’ll be back—for the misty forests, the endless coastline, and maybe just to sit here again, watching the ocean swallow the day.
Embracing the Forest – A Moment with the Trees
In the heart of Washington’s lush, rain-drenched forests, I stood still, arms wrapped around an ancient tree, listening. Not just hearing—but truly listening. The whispers of the wind through the moss, the deep hum of the earth beneath my feet, the quiet pulse of life moving in ways we rarely stop to notice.
There’s something humbling about standing among giants, rooted for centuries, witnessing time in a way we never could. The layers of moss, the twisting roots, the way nature thrives in perfect balance—it reminds you that we are just passing through, but the trees remain.
I closed my eyes, feeling the rough bark against my hands. This was a moment of gratitude, a silent salute to nature itself. A reminder that we don’t just exist in the world—we are part of it. And in that stillness, in that single embrace, I felt something real. A connection. A vibration. A quiet kind of wisdom only the forest knows.
Snoqualmie Falls – A Moment in Motion
Standing before Snoqualmie Falls, watching the water crash down with unstoppable force, it felt like witnessing something ancient, something alive. The mist swirled around us, the air thick with the roar of the falls—a reminder of nature’s power and grace, all in one breathtaking scene.
With @needles.bb by my side, we stood in quiet admiration, taking it all in. The Pacific Northwest has a way of making you feel small in the best way possible. Towering evergreens, moss-covered cliffs, the endless motion of water carving through rock—it’s the kind of landscape that lingers in your mind long after you’ve left.
Snoqualmie Falls in all its power and beauty—mist rising, water roaring, and nature in perfect motion. Nestled in the lush forests of Washington, this 268-foot waterfall is a breathtaking force, drawing visitors year-round. Captured during a road trip through the Pacific Northwest, this moment reflects the raw energy of the falls, a reminder of how nature moves, shapes, and inspires.
Watch as the cascade flows endlessly, a timeless force just like the stories we carry—etched in ink, memories, and the landscapes we leave behind.
Twin Falls, Idaho – A Misdirected Stop in the Winter Silence
Rolling into Twin Falls, Idaho, we expected to see the famous twin cascades. Spoiler: there were none. The area was restricted, leaving us with nothing but a glimpse from a distance. A letdown? Kind of.
The whole town felt quiet, dry, and a little unwelcoming in the heart of winter. We spent a night there, but the energy was off—not exactly the kind of stop that fills you with inspiration. Maybe it was the season, maybe it was just one of those places you have to catch at the right time.
On the bright side, Boise seemed like a city worth exploring. We didn’t stay long, but it had a good vibe, a place we’ll definitely give more time on the next loop. Idaho didn’t quite click this time, but we’ll be back—maybe in the spring, maybe with better luck.
Raw, untamed, and powerful—Palouse Falls stands as a testament to time, carving through the rugged canyons of Washington. The view is breathtaking, but the fences keep you at a distance—close enough to admire, just out of reach to feel. Still, nature’s force speaks loud enough.
St. George – A Hidden Gem on Utah’s Edge
Rolling into St. George, we knew this stop would be special, but we didn’t expect to love it this much. Tucked between red rock cliffs and endless trails, this small but thriving town had an energy that felt just right.
For a city on the edge of Utah, a state that keeps winning our hearts, St. George has it all—beautiful homes, a growing university, scenic campgrounds, lakes, and an open landscape begging to be explored. The red rocks glow under the sun, the trails stretch for miles, and there’s a sense of balance here—nature and civilization coexisting in a way that just makes sense.
It’s quiet, but not too quiet. Growing, but not overwhelming. The kind of place that makes you think, maybe staying a little longer wouldn’t be such a bad idea. One thing’s for sure—we’ll be back to discover more.
Arches National Park – A Gateway to Another World
If there’s one place that doesn’t feel real, it’s Arches National Park in Moab. Towering red rock formations, natural stone bridges carved by time, and landscapes straight out of a dream. Everywhere we looked, there was something worth capturing—a scene so grand, it felt impossible to take it all in at once.
Walking through the arches, standing beneath the massive rock formations, feeling the weight of millions of years above us—it was pure magic. The light shifted by the hour, turning the red sandstone into a living canvas of deep oranges, glowing golds, and soft purples as the sun dipped lower.
One visit wasn’t enough. We barely scratched the surface of what Moab and this park have to offer. Next time, we’ll stay longer, explore deeper, and take a million more pictures. Because some places demand more than a visit—they deserve a chapter in your story.
Salt Lake City – A Blend of Nature, Culture, and Art
A perfect blend of nature, culture, and modern energy, this city has a way of pulling us back every time. The crisp winter air, the well-planned streets, the seamless balance of urban life and untouched landscapes—everything about SLC just works.
The Great Salt Lake, vast and reflective, feels almost surreal. Its stillness is a contrast to the movement of the city, where art thrives in unexpected places. Even the Salt Lake City International Airport is a masterpiece, turning transit into an immersive creative space. From buzzing bars to eclectic restaurants, from the arts district to the quiet corners of nature, there’s always something new to discover.
And then, there’s the ink. Some of our most meaningful tattoos were created here, each carrying a story unique to SLC’s creative energy:
Each tattoo created in Salt Lake City carries a story as vast and layered as the landscape itself. “Infinity Peaks” captures the thrill of Utah’s snowboarding spirit, blending sharp geometry with the raw, untamed power of the mountains.“Utah Spirit” reflects the state’s essence—a tribute to landscapes, freedom, and the deep connection between nature and self.
In a place where creativity and innovation thrive, “Neural Gears” represents the fusion of music, motion, and intelligence—designed for those who see the world in rhythm and precision. Meanwhile, “Winding Memories”speaks to the nostalgia of film photography, featuring a vintage canister wrapped in life’s fleeting moments—a love letter to black-and-white storytelling.
And then, there’s “Celestial Bond,” a piece that ties it all together—a symbol of family, heritage, and cosmic connection. Much like Salt Lake City itself, each tattoo tells a story of balance—between movement and stillness, nature and industry, the past and the infinite beyond.
SLC keeps calling us back—not just for the city, but for the stories it helps us create, in ink and in memory.

Colorado – Where Nature Heals and the City Welcomes
Every time we arrive in Denver, it feels like a warm embrace. There’s something about Colorado’s energy—crisp air, endless mountains, and a perfect mix of nature and city life—that just feels right. The creeks, the waterfalls, the towering peaks, and the ever-changing skies make this place feel alive in a way that’s hard to put into words.
Denver itself is a city that knows how to welcome. The museums, the cafés, the restaurants—there’s a thoughtfulness to everything here, a creative pulse running through its streets. Whether it’s a quiet morning by a creek or a night out in the city, every moment feels intentional.
But Colorado is bigger than just Denver. Grand Junction and the smaller mountain towns are calling, and spring might just be the perfect time to explore them. One thing is certain—there’s always more to discover, and we’ll keep coming back.
Denver – A City That Feels Like Home
There’s something about Denver that keeps pulling us back. Maybe it’s the kindness of the people, the creative pulse in the air, or the way nature seamlessly blends into the city. This is the place where my art finds the most appreciation, where people truly understand the depth of what I create. Every visit here is more than just a stop—it’s an experience that leaves a mark, just like the tattoos I’ve inked along the way.
Some of my most powerful pieces came to life in Denver. “The Golden Flow” embodies the Fibonacci spiral and sacred symbols of transformation, a reflection of the city’s ever-evolving energy. “Rebirth in Fire” channels resilience and renewal, much like the spirit of Denver itself. “Timeless Symphony” brought music to life through ink, crafted for a soul who sees rhythm in everything. “Lagertha’s Legacy” was a tribute to strength and history, created during a guest spot that felt like an artistic exchange of cultures.
Then there’s “The Nexus Gate”, a design that fuses the Tree of Life, DNA, and sacred geometry, capturing the balance of science, art, and philosophy—something this city thrives on. “Cosmic Tides” flowed effortlessly into existence, a representation of celestial harmony, much like the way Denver feels in the grand scheme of my travels.
This city has a way of making every moment memorable, and every tattoo I create here carries a piece of Denver’s soulwith it. My love for this place runs deep, and I know this isn’t just a stop—it’s a home for my art.

BONUS: “Ink of the Universe”
The stars had always whispered secrets to him. Lines, patterns, sacred symbols—all hidden in the constellations, waiting to be uncovered. He had spent years studying the language of the universe through tattoos, architecture, mathematics, and physics, searching for the hidden geometry that connected all things. But it wasn’t until he hit the road, traveling state by state, mountain by mountain, ink by ink, that he began to see the full picture.
Armed with his tattoo machine, a Shiba Inu companion, and a relentless hunger for adventure, he set off to map the unseen—to chart the hidden grid of existence through the landscapes of Earth and beyond. Every stop, every tattoo, every moment on the road felt like a puzzle piece snapping into place.
The Journey Begins – A Cosmic Trail
His first stop was Sequoia National Park, where the ancient trees hummed with a language of their own. Their Fibonacci spirals stretched toward the sky, whispering forgotten wisdom about time, space, and energy flow. As he pressed his hand against their bark, he saw a vision—a star map etched in sacred geometry, connecting the forests of Earth to the vastness of the galaxies above.
In Yosemite, the waterfalls carved fractals into the cliffs, shaping the land like an artist chiseling away at stone. As he brewed Turkish coffee beneath Bridalveil Falls, he traced invisible equations in the mist, realizing every drop of water was an echo of a black hole’s event horizon—constantly shifting, never truly lost.
San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge stood as a monument to human ingenuity, a perfect balance of form and function, steel and spirit. Here, he tattooed a design inspired by time dilation—spiraling numbers woven into the shape of a suspension bridge, representing the endless cycle of progress and return.
The Utah Vortex & A Message from the Stars
But it was Utah that truly altered his course. Standing in the center of Arches National Park, he saw the red rock formations as ancient portals—gateways between dimensions, carved by cosmic forces over millions of years.Beneath one of the arches, he laid his hands on the stone, and suddenly the world around him folded.
The air vibrated. A voice—not human, not entirely physical—spoke in patterns of light. He wasn’t just a traveler anymore. He was a cartographer of the unseen, a recorder of sacred codes.
The message was clear: “The ink you carve is more than art—it is the blueprint of the universe. The stories you tell are echoes of the stars. Keep moving. Keep creating.”
And so he did.
Denver’s Celestial Gateway & the Nexus of All Things
Arriving in Denver, he felt a gravitational pull unlike anywhere else. The city pulsed with energy—science, art, engineering, and ancient wisdom all woven together. Here, he tattooed a piece called “The Nexus Gate”, a fusion of the Tree of Life, DNA strands, and the Fibonacci sequence—bridging the mathematical and the mystical. It was here that he fully understood:
Tattooing was more than ink—it was a celestial language, an ancient script carried on human skin, linking Earth’s travelers to the great cosmic design.
With every tattoo he created, with every road he traveled, he was leaving behind a map—not just across states, but through time, through consciousness, through the fabric of reality itself.
Toward the Infinite Horizon
Now, with the Great Salt Lake reflecting the stars, the red rocks of St. George glowing under the sun, and the peaks of the Pacific Northwest stretching into the clouds, he knew the journey was far from over.
Next, he would travel from the West Coast to the East, chasing the cosmic rhythm, marking new trails on skin and stone. The galaxies above mirrored the maps below, and he was simply the bridge between them—a wandering artist in search of the hidden equations of existence.
And so he drove on, toward the next unknown, ready to tattoo the universe itself. Because adventure is endless, and the ink never runs dry. 🚀✨
